Correct Tools ( Pots, Pans, Utensils)

I think one of the most important things that we need to keep abreast of is to always have the proper pots & pans & utensils and ingredients out and ready to use before we start to prepare a recipe. In my early years of cooking, this was probably one of the biggest mistakes I made. Then, in the middle of trying to prepare a certain dish, I'd be looking through drawers or kitchen cabinets for a certain something. For new cooks, #1 lesson. Don't Make the mistakes I did!

Don't forget to write with questions you may have or requests for recipes.

Sorry I took so long to post. It won't happen again, I hope.

Christmas Dinner

I always have a hard time deciding on vegetables for holiday dinners. I get e mails from some friends asking what I decided on for ____ holiday meal. They thinks it's funny to see me stress over veggies. I don't. If anyone has any suggestions I'll take them under advisement. After about 50 holiday dinners, I have run out of ideas.

Any help will be appreciated. If it's a really good recipe, I'll add it to my web site www.magnoliahousewares.com

Let's exchange cooking ideas

Hi- This is June. I encourage everyone interested in cooking, catering or entertaining to join me in exchanging recipes & ideas . I want this blog to be informative, but I also want it to be fun. We can talk about anything you want to. I have tons of recipes to share from recipes that delve into my Eastern European Jewish background to the recipes I have been blessed to be able to get from my husband's Italian family. In this blog you will get to know my Russian Grandma Anna, Frank's Mom and Grandma Lucy. So, since this is an introductory post, I encourage anyone to post their thoughts. Starting tomorrow I will post one of Italian recipes. I look forward to hearing from you. Stay tuned- Happy cooking, June
